Jay wrote this these lyrics whilst having some downtime in a studio session. They were a way to vent his frustrations about the constant battle he seems to face with the music business as an independent artist in this industry, time and time again. Knowing that many creatives go through this feeling within their own chosen industries, he wrote – I hope this is a reminder that, despite how much we try to keep it under wraps, there’s no shame in speaking up about the barriers we face, especially ’cause deep down, we have all it takes to overcome them.
